Like many women we know, Volcom's a bit of a dichotomy. Part of them is natural to the point of almost being crunchy - check out their Volcommunity blog, packed with artists, writers, and professional athletes who'd rather surf all day than go anywhere near a blow dryer. But despite their beach baby proclivities, Volcom likes to vamp it up every now and then - like last week, when they held their annual swim show. Past style inspirations included Bond Girls and Space Bunnies. This season, they took a fairly straightforward approach, and armed each model with a white-blonde bob, an exaggerated cat eye, and aggressively sexy high heels. It was a good reminder that the bikini was named for the island where the atomic bomb was first tested - and an explosive show, for sure.
