The film might not be out until July 2017, but judging from the first trailer for Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets, we have a lot of good to look forward to.
The teaser is a glimpse into the story of time-traveling Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and his partner Laureline (Cara Delevingne). The Luc Besson film is an intergalactic adventure and appears to have the impressive, gorgeous visuals to go along with it. Soundtracked by The Beatles’ “Because,” the clip shoots us into a realm where realistic-looking aliens roam free, Delevingne kicks ass, and Rihanna can change clothes and hair color with the literal drop of a hat.
“A universe without bounds, needs heroes without limits,” the trailer reads. Rounding out the star-studded cast is Clive Owen, Ethan Hawke, John Goodman, and, randomly, Herbie Hancock.
Less than two minutes long, the action-packed video will grant you a brief recess from the whirlwind of these past couple of days. Take it in and get out of your head.
The movie is set to hit theatres July 21. You can watch the full teaser above.
