There was plenty to be excited about when it came to Tommy Hilfiger's Spring 2020 runway show. There was the location: London, the designer's first show in the U.K. since the Tommy x Gigi collection in September 2017; the venue: the iconic Tate Modern museum; and, of course, the collection itself: a collaboration with Formula One Champion Lewis Hamilton.
Upon entering the building of Sunday evening's show, guests were treated to even more surprises. The front row was, in typical Tommy Hilfiger fashion, filled with celebrities ranging from Charli XCX to Billy Porter to Miss Fame. The lineup was perhaps even more stacked, with a diverse cast of supermodels, new and seasoned, including Naomi Campbell, Luka Sabbat, Winnie Harlow, Jodie Kidd, Georgia May Jagger, and Karen Elson. But the real thrill of the evening came thanks to a second surprise collaboration, this time with Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter, H.E.R. Created alongside Hilfiger and Hamilton, the singer's pieces, which debuted on the runway, feature sustainable elements in over 75 percent of the collection. And good news: As with the rest of the TOMMYNOW collection, the pieces are already available to purchase.
Here, the singer shares her behind-the-scenes photo diary leading up to the runway show exclusively with NYLON.
