Kristen Stewart may have just won the suit trend at the Seberg premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The actress wore a cropped shirt resembling a suit jacket, and I'm obsessed with it.
Stewart, a Chanel ambassador who has previously killed me with other looks from the brand, has now reinvented Chanel's classic tweed suit. Her suit jacket-style top had white shirt cuffs peeking out and almost covering her hands, though there's definitely no shirt underneath. She paired this with a pair of flared houndstooth pants.
But the crop of the top is what makes her outfit iconic. Paired with a silky necktie with a brooch a la Karl Lagerfeld, Stewart made the crop top feel both business professional and effortlessly cool like only she could.
Stewart kept her face relatively bare, save for an unbelievably dramatic smoky eyeliner that I know I'll be copying immediately, and slicked back her short platinum hair.
Although I'm lucky that I don't work in the type of office environment that necessitates a suit, I would be down to start wearing them on the daily if Stewart would show me how to wear them like her.
