When we met up with Lena Waithe for our March 2019 cover shoot, we asked her all about her sneaker collection, of which we're admittedly very jealous. Waithe told us that she's always been a huge sneakerhead, though she couldn't always afford to indulge herself. Growing up in a single parent household, she says, her mom jokingly told her to pick between shoes and groceries, to which she replied, "I don't gotta eat."
