In Face Forward, our new beauty video series, we talk with inspirational people from all walks of life about what beauty means to them.

Model Ari Fitz, one of our February 2018 cover stars, uses makeup to accent the parts of her face that she loves, and to explore her identity as a black androgynous person. In the video above, she shows us how to get ready using just concealer and eyeshadow—and even though she doesn't use an arsenal of makeup products, that doesn't mean her look would qualify as "boring."
