A Look Inside NYLON's After-Hours Party At The Shelborne By Proper

The late-night event kicked off Art Basel weekend with an exclusive DJ set by PAWSA.

What do you get when you mix one part Miami after-dark energy, one part surrealist Hollywood fantasy, and a generous dash of exclusivity? The exact recipe for a NYLON party — and the unofficial kickoff to Art Week’s most talked-about moments.

On the night before Art Basel officially opened, Capital One and The Cultivist continued their takeover of Miami Art Week alongside acclaimed artist Alex Prager and her surreal, cinematic installation, Mirage Factory. The week-long slate of parties, dinners, and live performances took place at the newly renovated Shelborne by Proper, where Prager’s Mirage Swim Club reimagined the hotel’s iconic pool deck for Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders, creating a curated escape that felt both nostalgic and entirely new.

The energy of the experience extended into the hotel’s signature restaurant, Pauline, on Dec. 4 as NYLON gathered a guest list of creatives and tastemakers — including Justine Skye, Tinx, and Saxon Sharbino — alongside Capital One cardholders to celebrate Prager’s world of glamour and illusion. By the time PAWSA took over the DJ booth, the night had fully shifted into its own cinematic rhythm — a mix of dance, connection, and that unmistakable Miami-in-December buzz.
