In late November, actor Tilda Swinton kicked things off at the 18th Marrakech International Film Festival opening ceremony wearing a cool, slouchy pink suit by Haider Ackermann. Less than a week later, luxury house Chanel sent models down the runway during the Chanel Metiers d'art 2019/2020 show at Le Grand Palais in multiple pink suits, turned out in the brand's iconic fringed tweed.
Days later, Little Women director Greta Gerwing wore — you guessed it! — a pink suit to SiriusXM's Town Hall with the cast of the film, this time by Ryan Roche and complete with a matching pink button-up blouse. Surely, her look made an impression on castmate Timothée Chalamet who, at a Dec 16., photo-call for the film in London, served up another red carpet gem in a pale pink corduroy suit by Thom Browne, just days after showing up to the film's premiere in Paris wearing another (albeit darker) pink suit by Stella McCartney.
And as if that string of pink suits wasn't enough to end the year with all the proof that the colored two-piece would be a thing in 2020, young North West made a last minute submission that would have even the anti-pink suiters think twice. In a family holiday photo posted by her mother Kim Kardashian West on Dec 26., North wore a presumably custom icy, pastel pink suit and turtleneck, with pink velvet boots and her annual holiday lipstick, in a coordinating pale pink shade.
