For NYLON's second pride issue, actress Samira Wiley recalls first learning what pride was, and talks sharing her love with the world on Instagram in a new video.
Samira Wiley is the cover star of NYLON's Pride issue, and as we go behind the scenes with the actress, she takes us back to the first moment she experienced pride en-masse. "Everyone in the same place and with this joy... Honestly, it felt like, Oh, this is where you guys have been," Wiley tells us, adding: "It's something that I want to show other people. Let's use this month to flood Instagram with images of love and images of LGBT representation in general."
Later in the video, The Handmaid's Tale actress explains why she shares private moments from her marriage on Instagram, saying that it's "one way we can show that we're living our lives; we're unashamed, we're happy, we're in love, and this is a possibility."
