We sat down with musician SHAVONE, who recently released her single "4C." The track is titled after the hair texture of many Black women, including SHAVONE. In the video above, she tells us what the song means to her, and gives us a live performance in our studio. Though it's a song you can't help but dance to, you also can't ignore the lyrics, which remind the listener that Black bodies "are sort of endangered, still."
