Julianne Moore Channels Kendall Jenner In Chanel At The Oscars

who wore it better?

by Jenna Igneri

Is Julianne Moore taking style cues from the Kardashian-Jenners? This may be the case. If you caught Moore on the Oscars red carpet last night, you may have noticed that the frequent best-dressed actor’s gorgeous custom gown by Chanel Haute Couture looked a little familiar. Well, that’s because it was inspired by the very same design that Kendall Jenner wore down the runway last month in Paris.

The gown, which boasts a stunning hand-embroidered stone embellished plunging neckline, geometric strap cutouts, and a black lace overlay, was modified a bit from its runway original. The dress length and embellishments were ever-so-slightly changed, and, of course, Moore’s beauty look was much more Hollywood glamour than the futuristic look showcased on the Chanel runway. She swapped the winged liner and Princess Leia buns for flowing waves and Chopard diamonds—and a lot of diamonds, at that—to make this look more red carpet appropriate (although we definitely see Rooney Mara rocking Jenner’s beauty look.) Still, this is just further proof that 55-year-old Moore is a timeless goddess that can wear the same thing as a 20-year-old model and still absolutely slay.
