Universal Standard Drops New Designer Collab With Erdem

The eight-piece denim collection will be available in Universal Standard’s usual size range.

Universal Standard has another designer collaboration coming down the pipe. The inclusive brand has partnered with London-based fashion label Edrem on an eight-piece denim collection.

“There’s a beautiful universality in denim and with careful design you can achieve a wonderful permanence,” designer Erdem Moralıoğlu said in an official statement. “Fashion for everyone means designing consciously beyond the boundaries of shape or trend.”

In 2019, Universal Standard took on its first high-fashion collaboration with Rodarte on an affordable, size-inclusive collection of four pieces. In line with Universal Standards ethos, the new Erdem collaboration will be available from size 00 to 40.

“We want the industry to keep witnessing that size equality is the only way forward,” said Alexandra Waldman, Universal Standard’s co-founder and Chief Creative Officer, in an official statement. “Access for all doesn’t end with US. Together with Erdem, we aim to change the way fashion looks for all of USand the way we look at fashion. This is to the benefit of the industry, the consumer, and the idea of fashion equality.”

Universal Standard x Erdem is available now on Universal Standard’s website with prices for the denim collection ranging from $120 to $198. Check out images from the campaign, below.
