Vans' Next Artist Collection Features Frida Kahlo's Self-Portraits

These are going to go fast

by Allison Stubblebine

The newest Vans Vault collection has been revealed, and with it, the iconic skate shoe brand will honor Frida Kahlo. Similar to the Van Gogh collection that sold out instantly, this new collection features some of the artist's most famous works, including self-portraits and still life, on various silhouettes.

Per the release, "the collection includes three iconic Vans styles: an OG Sk8-Hi LX featuring Frida's self-portrait alongside a dark green toe cap, an OG Authentic LX with all-over watermelon print and embroidered details and an OG Slip-On LX celebrating Kahlo's famed 1940 painting, 'Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird.'"

If you're not into having portraits of famous artists on your feet or not an art fanatic, there's the sneaker with Kahlo's watermelon still life painting, "Viva la Vida." It fits perfectly into the fruit print trend that everyone is leaping onto this summer.

The Frida Kahlo collection will go on sale starting this Saturday, June 29. Peep each of the styles, below.
